I saw the game above via the web while I on the tv was prepared for Malmö-IKSU. But the game was delayed a bit because of technical problems. At least in tv. Instead I was sat energized in front of a fishing program. Nice herrings I guess. But then you could see Patrik Åman and Lars Lindberg on the screen. After one period Malmö lead with 1-0 – how many teams have kept IKSU’s points at zero during a period. I wondered how long Malmö would have energy for their hard work and at the start of the middle period IKSU scored three quick goals. Then Mikael Jeppson in Malmö’s booth took a time out. With all right, the home team lost focus and made some simple mistakes. Barely a minute later came the reduction. But then it was IKSU constantly.
The only 18 year old Malmö-forward Frida Mainz Ohlsson did a great game. She worked hard and used her speed in a good way. In IKSU I think that Amanda Delgado Johansson and Iza Rydfjäll stood out.
But congratulations Malmö! Like I predicted before you took the last playoffs spot.
The playoffs choices:
I predicted like this:
I failed on Täby who prefer Endre before Rönnby. I was surprised there since Västerås is a lot closer and Endre are really strong at home, but as Rebecca Norman correctly said, Rönnby has taken 5 out of 6 points against Täby this season.
And I predict the quarterfinal results like this:
A Malmö that gets to experience their first playoffs and are put against the big favorites IKSU straight away. Inexperience against lots of experience and merits. Can only end in one way? Yes!
Kais Mora-Karlstad 3-0
Same thing regarding the routine in this game series, with the difference that Mora aren’t as superior and have lost points against Karlstad and that the girls from Värmland are a bit sharper as a team compared to Malmö. I believe in more even games but that Karlstad’s physical play (which isn’t as tough as earlier seasons) can’t touch Mora’s first five.
Endre are like I wrote above, home strong and need a leader in Sara Steen playing on top to be able to stop Täby. However I think that Täby’s sharp players can decide this game series in favor for the girls from Stockholm. For me the most uncertain game series.
Turnover on players in both teams but the ruling champions Pixbo has a more experienced gang eve if Rönnby has surprised me in a positive way. They have their big star Adina Augustsson injured, but it will be interesting to see what these talented up and coming players will do in the playoffs.
It will be exciting!
Norrortssporten also do podcasts. I listened to Studio Täby FC with the team’s assisting coach Royne Svensson. A fun and interesting interview with a very experienced and merited man. Royne gets the question ”what is your playing idea?”. And he answers ”I want to win games. Maybe I don’t have the most beautiful floorball. But I definitely want to have entertaining floorball.”
Fantastic story of when Royne and Lars came to Djurgården in the middle of the season. How Royne printed out information from DIF’s website and met the team for the first time on the bus on the way to a game in Jönköping. They had individual conversations with the players and Royne wondered ”well what’s your name. position etc”. Wonderful!
A open-hearted interview, such freeing listening straight from the heart: ”Damn I dream of a final!”. That dream can come true.
Wow what a game it became between Linköping and Mullsjö today! Tight, tough, prestige filled, tempo filled, exciting yes a perfect playoffs game! I actually saw Helsingborg-Falun from the start but switched over and I don’t regret that.
More about both playoffs in the next blog post – the time is too short tonight.
